Voted in the Top 10 City's to live year and year, Boise, Idaho is the place to be. Boise is Idaho's largest city with just over 200,000 people within city limits. Boise has so much to offer its residents and visitors which makes it a great place to live, work and play.
With the outdoors just a few steps to a short drive away, its no wonder so many make Boise their home. Boise River Greenbelt offers a 25-mile tree lined path that follows the Boise River and provides scenic views, wildlife habitat and access to several of the cities riverside parks. It also serves as an alternative transportation route for many commuters.
If you love golf, enjoy one of the 10+ 18-hole courses in the Valley. If skiing, snowboarding or tubing is desire, Bogus Basin is a short 30 minute drive from Boise. Enjoy a day on the Payette River in less than an hour drive from the city. You will find fun and excitement rafting or kayaking the South Fork, Main Fork or the North Fork of the Payette River. Don't forget to check out one of many natural hot springs along the way. If you are looking for a fun floating experience closer to home, check out floating/tubing the Boise River which puts in at Barber Park. A day of fun motor boating, water skiing or other exciting water sport takes many up to the Lucky Peak Reservoir. Anglers find many sports for dropping in a hook or taking in a day of fly fishing.
If big sporting events are your ticket, check out the many venues that the Valley has to offer - check out the blue turf at Boise State, catch a race at Meridian Speedway or Firebird Speedway, check out the cowboys at the Snake River Stampede or the Caldwell Night Rodeo, watch a play at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, catch the Idaho Stampede basketball, Idaho Steelhead hockey or the Boise Hawks baseball. Boise has enough to keep the whole family entertained and active all year long.
